The Unqualified Opinion is Expected To Be Able to Encourage The Improvement of Accountability and Transparency of Regional Finances

JAKARTA, BPK Public Relations – Board Member V of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK), Ahmadi Noor Supit, submits Audit Report on Financial Statements of Regional Government (LKPD) of Special Capital Region of Jakarta (DKI Jakarta) Province fiscal year 2022. The Audit Report is received by Speaker of Regional House Representatives (DPRD) of Jakarta Province, Prasetyo Edi Sumardi, and Acting Governor of Jakarta Province, Heru Budi Hartono. The submission took place at DPRD of Jakarta Office on Monday (29/5).

“Based on the audit carried out, BPK provides Unqualified Opinion on Financial Statements of LKPD of DKI Jakarta fiscal year 2022. It is therefore that the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta has successfully maintained the Unqualified Opinion for six consecutive years,” said Board Member V.

Board Member V reminds that the Unqualified Opinion can be an impetus for increasing accountability and transparency in regional financial management as well as improving the quality of financial statements, so that it will be such a proud achievement.

“Therefore, we express our highest gratitude to all officials of Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta,” said Board Member V at the audit reports submission attended by Vice Speaker of DPRD Jakarta, Members of DPRD Jakarta, Director General of Audit V, Slamet Kurniawan, Head of BPK Regional Office in DKI Jakarta, Ayub Amali, regional leadership communication forum, respected invitees and employees of BPK and Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta.

In addition to audit on Financial Statements of Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta, BPK also conducts audit of Financial Statements of Local Water Supply Utility (PAM) Jaya fiscal year 2022. Based on the audit carried out, BPK provides disclaimer on Financial Statements on PAM Jaya fiscal year 2022.

There are four audit findings that influence the provision of the disclaimer audit opinion on the Financial Statements of PAM Jaya, one of which is that the recording of subscription security deposit (UJL) debt is not supported by a complete and accurate list details, so that the balance of UJL debt of Rp53,32 trillion cannot be ensured for its fairness.

“The audit results of Financial Statements of PAM Jaya should not discourage, but instead serves as encouragement to always improve accountability and transparency of financial management of Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD),” said Board Member V.

Concluding his remarks, Board Member V hopes the leaders and members of DPRD can monitor the completion of audit recommendation follow-up as stated in the BPK Audit Reports in accordance with their authorities.
